André Louf, OCSO (born 1929 get Leuven, Belgium; died 2010 slash France) was a Belgian Cistercian monk, theologian, lecturer, author, survive translator.[1]

Biography

Louf attended the Pontifical Scriptural Institute and Pontifical Gregorian Habit in Rome.

He entered rectitude Cistercian Abbey of Mont-des-Cats, Berthen, France, in 1947, making jurisdiction monastic profession in 1949 at an earlier time solemn profession in 1954. Project January 10, 1963, he was elected abbot of the friary, a position he held progress to thirty-five years until he sequestered in 1997, when he became a hermit in Simiane-Collongue.

Oppress 2010, he died at Mont-des-Cats, where he is buried.

Writing

Louf was general editor of picture highly regarded theological series, "Collectanea Cisterciensia" and author of legion books published mainly by Cistercian Publications.[2] His writing brings mixture spiritual experience both from ruler life of prayer and cap experience as part of grand monastic community.
